An Antenna Worth Trying

I saw the following indoor TV antenna at a local store a few weeks ago...Winegard Flatwave Antenna

This is about as thick as a piece of card stock and not much larger than an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. It has a 15-foot cable. You can place it on a flat surface, including a window or a wall. It's white on one side and black on the other, allowing you to decide which looks best as part of your home decor. (I actually hung one behind a poster near my TV, so if you don't notice the cable then it's completely invisible.)

I was surprised at how well this antenna works in a poor reception area in my home (in a basement). I can receive almost every available channel. I experiment a bit more with the exact location of the antenna, I might even get the ones that I can't get now.

The antenna cost me $29 at Home Depot (in case you'd like to pick one up immediately and not wait for an online order to arrive). There is also an amplified version (available online) but I was surprised at how well this one worked without any extra amplification. For $29, I figured it was worth my time and money to try it out. I was very pleased.

Home Depot Listing for $29.

Amplified version from Amazon.com.
